A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born. O night divine, O night when Christ was born.”
– O Holy Night

Our world is weary, burdened by the heaviness that this year has brought: social distancing, political disputes, illness, loss…the list goes on. We are desperate for a thrill of hope, the promise of a Divine King, whose very role is to breathe new life into the aching world.

We have been carrying our crosses alongside you this year, and we too are aching for the hope this season brings. But as stores began to put up their holiday ads and promote their latest products, it all seemed to be too much yet not enough at the same time.

If we were to hand-pick a gift for each of you, it would be peace—peace in your homes, your hearts, and peace in the world. When at first we were discouraged that we could not guarantee this gift for each of you, we became hopeful when we discovered that gifting this year actually can be different, that beyond the usual jewelry or toys, you can gift the ones you love blessings that will fill their lives with peace and bring them what their hearts truly long for.

Over the next four weeks, we will be sharing with you our annual gift guides, but instead of our traditional His and Hers gift guides, this year House of Royals is committed to helping you gift blessings to the ones you love.

House of Royals was born of the desire we all feel to live wholehearted, purposeful lives infused with holy, meaningful connections and beautiful, life-giving things. Our Blessings Gift Guide this year is an extension of our mission to surround you and the ones you love with royalty, beauty, and grace.

Each week we will release a new gift guide that focuses on one of the four Christmas blessings: Grace, Hope, Peace, and Love.

Along with a detailed description of each blessing, every gift guide will feature 8-10 products that we believe offer a physical reminder of one of the four blessings. Our criteria for each item were that it would foster a connection with the Divine and others and instill care of oneself.

A new gift guide will be provided each week in the new blog, but you can always return here to find the accumulated FULL Blessings Gift Guide.

We will also be hosting a GIVEAWAY each week on social media, so make sure you’re following @houseofroyalsco on Instagram!

Lastly, we are so grateful to have you as part of the House of Royals family. It is our greatest hope that you experience the Divine’s blessings in a new and profound way this season. We invite you to meditate on the following passage with us throughout the season, as we wait in anticipation for the night Christ is born.

A reading from Luke 2:1-20:

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus* that the whole world should be enrolled.

This was the first enrollment, when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town.

And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David,

to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.

While they were there, the time came for her to have her child,

and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock.

The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear.

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.

And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.”

So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger.

When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child.

All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds.

And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.

Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.

A great gift guide helping us find the blessings in every day life! Thank you for entreating us to look deeper.

“O Holy Night” has been a favorite hymn of mine for years and it seems extra relevant today. But the one on repeat this year in our house is is “O Come O Come Emmanuel…”

O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

SO needed in 2020 and always.

Oh, Holy Night was my mother’s favorite!
Your gift guides and the themes you’ve chosen are amazing. I will be using your gift guides this Christmas season and beyond.
Peace is something that I had to pray very hard for after the passings of my mother and youngest son. My prayers were answered and continue to be. God is good!!
