As the light approaches, the earth takes shape like clay pressed beneath a seal; it is robed in brilliant colors. Job 38:14 In scripture we find that we are sealed by the King! Our hearts are the wax seal to the King's signet ring.
The ancient seal, pronounced in Greek as sfages,means an inscription or impression made by a mark. It was most often engraved into a stone, metal or crystal and in the shape of a signet ring for the authority figure to wear. This ring would be impressed into an outpouring of wax or clay, sealing a document or scroll with the royal authority of the signet bearer.
