Carry your royalty with you. On the exterior, the minimalist elegance of this leather tote with its fine lines and soft, supple cognac toned full grain leather, meets and exceeds standards in today’s women’s handbag collections. Its simple, unlined style minimizes the need for visible stitching and softens the overall aesthetic of the bag. The interior pocket design and generous sizing suits a variety of functions, holding laptop, clothing, wallet, keys, notebooks, rosary and much more (some even use it as a diaper bag). Appropriate for a multitude of occasions, from day to night, from personal to professional, this leather tote has become the most common, versatile, and, as we have heard our customers say, “on trend” of handbags.
As with the wearer – whose refined exterior reveals only glimpses of her true self, the true masterpiece of the House of Royals tote lies within. If its exterior has become known for simplicity, the tote’s interior of unlined raw leather will be an unexpected wonder, with its lavish hand-drawn floral pattern – royal jasmine and native floral glyphs – of transcendent meaning. This floral pattern is taken from the dress worn by “La Reina” herself, Our Lady of Guadalupe, queen and patroness, on the day of her apparition to Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac, Mexico, 1531. This image, which first appeared beneath a shower of Castilian roses on his simple tilma, can still be visited today, as she still hovers miraculously over the same tilma, over 500 years later, at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, Mexico.
At the center of this sacred artwork is the stirring reminder: “Beauty lies within you.”
Each tote has been accessorized with one final feminine touch: the silk habotai ribbon embellished with a cross of Swarovski crystals.
This tote is designed for the bearer and for noone else. Its hidden interior points to the larger truth about her royal heritage as God’s beloved and it is hoped that she will feel the accompaniment of the Queen and the love of the King every time she carries it.
Arte & Piel x Royals: A collaboration for artisanal beauty and a force for good.
Each leather product is handcreated and sewn by Salvadoran hands under the skilled guidance of Gabriel Pleitez, owner and entrepreneur of El Salvador’s Arte & Piel. Arte & Piel and House of Royals share a vision of elevating life to beauty and grace, providing work for local leathermakers of San Julian and the highest possible quality for each customer. Arte & Piel creates many varieties of accessories in genuine leather, building upon a modern and elegant style in the daily life of their international customer base and delicately caring for every detail, particularly the option for personalization, to help their customers write stories that last a lifetime.
Every weekend, Arte & Piel also leads an arduous humanitarian trip into the jungle of El Salvador to build steel roofs onto the makeshift homes (often constructed of branches, cardboard and plastic) for the poorest of the poor in their locality. Twice a year, Gabriel guides Helping Hands Medical Missions in a whirlwind mission of free healthcare as well. Each piece Gabriel and his team produce for House of Royals has lasting effects on the living wage of their own employees as well as the sponsorship of the poor of their villages and surroundings, and it is for this reason that Arte & Piel and House of Royals strive to grow into even higher levels of excellence and beauty, with a view to extending this impact with every purchase.
