When a newborn baby is wrapped in a swaddle, they feel protected and comforted; they can rest calmly knowing they are loved and cared for. We’ve seen their tired eyes close as they are drawn close to our hearts and held tighter.
We at House of Royals wanted to bring that same sense of comfort to everyone who wears or uses our swaddles. The traditional swaddle blankets everyone loves are now elevated to be bigger and more luxurious, made with the softest bamboo muslin. No longer are swaddles just for tiny babies. These are designed with a greater purpose in mind: to become a treasure to be used and cherished through infancy, childhood, and beyond.

There is no right or wrong way to use our swaddles, but we understand that sometimes it can be a challenge to find the perfect gift or add an extra pop to your outfit, so we wanted to make it easier on you! Any of our swaddle blankets would work great with these four methods. Try one or all, and be amazed how your swaddle serves you throughout your life and the lives of the ones you love.
THE LITTLE ROYALS SWADDLE BLANKET, SANCTI INFANTIS RICH GOLD, $65.00
First is the traditional way to use a swaddle, to wrap little babies. This is one of the most popular and well known ways to use a swaddle of any shape or size. Swaddling your baby helps them feel safe and keeps them tucked in securely as they sleep.
Step 1: To begin, find a flat surface and spread the swaddle out in a diamond shape with the top corner folded down about 6 inches. Then place your baby face up on the swaddle with her head above the folded edge and her body straight, pointed towards the bottom corner.
Step 2: Take the left side of the blanket and wrap it over the baby’s left arm and chest. Tuck the blanket underneath her right arm and back.
Step 3: Fold the bottom corner of the blanket up over her body and tuck it under the first fold. Straighten the baby’s right arm and then bring the right side of the blanket over the baby’s body and tuck it under the left side.
Step 4: Secure the blanket by twisting the bottom up and tucking it underneath.

Once your baby is too big to be swaddled, they become busy playing games, imagining themselves as princes and princesses. Our swaddle blanket makes for the perfect dress-up accessory, because it reminds each child of their royalty as they frolic around in it. This simple yet playful style will have any child feeling free and joyful.
Step 1:Spread the swaddle blanket all the way open.
Step 2: Fold the swaddle diagonally in half to make it shorter and easier to tie.
Step 3: Wrap the swaddle around the child’s back and tie the two ends together in a knot across the chest.

This is one of our favorite ways to style the swaddle blanket! Whether you're a new mom and want to keep a swaddle close, or you are looking for a fashionable yet meaningful accessory to wear when it’s a little chilly, the swaddle blanket is for you! It is large enough to keep you cozy, while being beautiful and intricate in design. You can style the swaddle as a shawl in multiple ways: over one shoulder, opened fully on the back, folded diagonally as you would the cape, or draped over both shoulders (our favorite style).

This may seem silly to include because it’s so simple, but the best thing about House of Royals swaddle blankets is that they can be used as blankets for babies, children, and adults! The 100% bamboo muslin isn’t too hot or itchy, and each swaddle measures 50” x 50”, making it big enough for the whole family to enjoy! Unlike most swaddles, ours are double paneled and have full color on both sides!
